Automatic Tank Drain Feature

Addition of an automatic tank drain feature provides the ultimate protection against priming system shut-down due to water build-up in the receiver. For remote installations and when equipment can’t be monitored on a regular daily basis, this is an absolute must.

The feature includes a separate level controlled lower drain receiver (see figure), isolation solenoid, equalizing and vent solenoid, drain solenoid, control relays, and pilot lighted operation indication.

As water accumulates in the lower reservoir the level switch will close and initiate the drain cycle. The solenoid valves will be sequenced isolating the lower tank from the vacuum receiver, venting and then opening the drain solenoid allowing water to be drained completing the cycle.

This is an add-on feature and does not undermine or replace any standard features of a system. Draining is automatic and is accomplished without interruption to system operation.
